St. Joseph School Library

The St. Joseph school library, which is located in the lower level of the school, has over 10,000 titles and growing! (Most classroom teachers also have their own grade appropriate mini-libraries for students to use).

This database enables students to:

• Browse book titles
• View their checkout history
• View a list of the books currently checked out, as well as their due dates

AR Book Finder

The AR (Accelerated Reader) program allows students to take comprehension quizzes based on books that students have read. The Book Finder allows you to determine if a selected book has an AR quiz assigned to it.

AR Quizzes

Accelerated Reader contains reading comprehension quizzes that a student may take after reading a book. Each quiz has a point value, and each student is assigned a goal every term. Quizzes can be taken Monday through Friday during school hours.
 

Book Grade Levels

Books are categorized by AR grade reading level using a colored-dot system:

• 0.0 - 0.9 = green
• 1.0 - 1.9 = blue
• 2.0 - 2.9 = red
• 3.0 - 3.9 = pink
• 4.0 - 4.9 = yellow
• 5.0 - 5.9 = black
• 6.0 - 6.9 = purple
• 7.0 & up = light green
